VENICEBy Car
We suggest you to go by motorway from Latisana (direction to Venezia/Milano). Exit in "Venezia Est/Aeroporto" and follow the signs to Venice.
Venice is a car-free city. The last point you can reach by car is Piazzale Roma where you can park the car at the "Autorimessa Comunale" garage (fare € 24,00 daily). Be aware that parking garages are often fully booked because of large number of visitors causing big queues, long and exasperating waiting time.
As an alternative you can park your car outside the metropolitan area and get to Venice by means of public transport.
For example Tronchetto Parking (€ 21,00 daily) and get to Venice by bus (number 6/), by "vaporetto" (line 2) or by "people mover".
You can also use public parking lots around Mestre and nearby the train station where you can catch one of the often-running bus (e.g. line 2) or train to Venice.
Vaporetto tickets can be bought on board whereas bus and train tickets need to be purchased before getting in. Tickets are available at numerous ticket counters, newsstands and other facilities.
